Text
RIGHT function playground
Returns the last characters of a text value.
The playground runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
How RIGHT works
RIGHT counts back from the end of the text and returns that many characters.
To get everything after a symbol, subtract its position from the length: =RIGHT(E2,LEN(E2)-FIND("@",E2)).
Syntax
=RIGHT(text, [num_chars])| Argument | What it means |
|---|---|
textrequired | The text or cell to take characters from. |
num_charsoptional | How many characters to return from the end. Default 1. |
