    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: October 25, 2026

ArumSoft Learning (arumsoft.com) is a free site of written software tutorials. You can read everything without an account. Signing in is optional, and we never ask for payment details. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, who collects it, and the choices you have.

What you type in practice boxes

Practice boxes and formula boxes run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to us unless you're signed in. Changes you make in the Function Playground are kept in your browser so they're still there next time, and you can clear them with Reset sheet.

    Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website, our web server records basic technical details for each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the date and time. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and they are deleted on a regular schedule.

    Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which tutorials are read and roughly where visitors come from. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information like the pages you view, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. We only see summary reports, not information that identifies you personally. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

    Google Fonts on interactive lessons

The interactive practice lessons (pages under /lessons/) load their typefaces from Google Fonts. When you open one of those pages, your browser requests the fonts from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details as part of that request. The written tutorials don't use Google Fonts.

    Advertising

ArumSoft Learning is free to use and is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Pages may show ads from Google and from other ad companies that work with Google.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some other companies' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. If you opt out, you may still see ads, but they won't be based on your browsing.

Ad companies don't receive anything you type into practice boxes, and we don't share your email address with them.

    YouTube videos

Some tutorials include a video from the ArumSoft YouTube channel. The videos are embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which limits the information YouTube stores before you play a video. When you play one, YouTube (owned by Google) may collect information as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

    If you sign in (optional)

Signing in is optional; every page works without it. If you choose Sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID with us. We use them only to run your account, and we never see or store your Google password.

While you're signed in, we store your learning progress (tutorials you mark as done, checklist ticks and the days you studied, for your streak and weekly goal), your bookmarks and notes, the tutorial you read last, your settings, your Function Playground work and your GPA converter lists on our own server, so you can pick them up on any device. When you sign out, they're removed from that browser and stay in your account.

To keep you signed in, we set one essential cookie that lasts up to 180 days. It isn't used for analytics or advertising. Our server also records when each sign-in was last used and the browser type, to keep your account secure.

If you create a certificate for a finished learning path, we store the name you put on it and the date. Anyone with the certificate's link can see that name, the path and the date, so share the link only with people you want to see it. If you create a certificate for a finished learning path, we store the name you put on it and the date. Anyone with the certificate's link can see that name, the path and the date, so share the link only with people you want to see it. We don't sell or share your account information, and we don't use it for advertising. Grades you enter in the GPA converter stay in your browser unless you're signed in.

You can download your data or delete your account at any time on your account page. Deleting your account permanently removes it, and everything saved in it, from our database right away.

    If you email us

If you send feedback by email, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to read and reply to your feedback. We don't add you to any mailing list, and we don't sell, rent or share your email address.

    Children

ArumSoft Learning is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and you must be 13 or older to create an account.

    Your choices

    • You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Every tutorial still works without them.
    • You can opt out of Google Analytics using the link above.
    • You can use the whole site without signing in, and you can download your data or delete your account at any time.
